Sparta, Ga. — U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is delivering new resources to upgrade infrastructure in Hancock County.
Sen. Ossoff brought Republicans and Democrats together to help upgrade infrastructure in Hancock County.
Hancock County will use the funding to help renovate the playground, youth sports facilities, picnic areas, pavilions, and other gathering spaces in Hancock County Recreational Park.
Sen. Ossoff is delivering $1,750,000 for the project through bipartisan government funding legislation that became law on February 3.
“Georgians deserve world-class infrastructure. Bringing Republicans and Democrats together, I’m delivering these resources to upgrade Hancock County Recreational Park for families to safely enjoy for years to come,” Sen. Ossoff said.
“This park holds a special place in the hearts of so many people in Hancock County. Through the years, families have gathered, kids played, and memories have been made. As a child, I played on the playground, basketball and tennis courts and we are thankful to Sen. Ossoff for making this possible for future generations here in Hancock County,” said Adrick Alexander Ingram, Chairman, Hancock County Board of Commissioners.
