Sen. Ossoff Delivering Resources for Chattahoochee Valley Megasite Planning & Design

Columbus, Ga. — U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is delivering new resources to strengthen economic development in the Chattahoochee River Valley.

Sen. Ossoff is delivering Federal resources for the Chattahoochee Valley Megasite to boost economic growth for families. The funding, which is being delivered to the United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley, will go toward site selection and preparation.

Sen. Ossoff brought Republicans and Democrats together to deliver $1,555,000 for the project through this year’s bipartisan government funding package, working alongside Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock.

“I remain focused every day on expanding economic opportunities for families and businesses across the Chattahoochee River Valley,” said Sen. Ossoff. “That’s why Senator Reverend Warnock and I brought Republicans and Democrats together to accelerate development of the Chattahoochee Valley Megasite. I thank United Way President Ben Moser for bringing this proposal to my office and for his leadership in the community.”

“We are extraordinarily grateful to Senator Jon Ossoff and Senator Raphael Warnock for their unwavering support and for securing a $1.5 million Congressionally Directed Spending grant for CHIPS4CHIPS (C4C),” said Ben Moser, Chair of CHIPS4CHIPS/CEO of United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley. “This investment is a monumental step towards the future of job creation in the Chattahoochee Valley. The development of a megasite in our region transcends a mere project; it embodies a vision aimed at attracting the semiconductor industry to our community, creating thousands of high-paying jobs. It symbolizes an economic engine destined to usher our region into a new era that will enrich the lives of our citizens for generations to come. C4C is appreciative of this investment in our effort to transform our entire region; creating opportunities, decreasing poverty, and increasing prosperity for all the residents of Southwest Georgia.”
