LaGrange, Ga. — U.S. Senators Jon Ossoff and Reverend Raphael Warnock are delivering new resources to strengthen public safety in LaGrange.
Sens. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock brought Republicans and Democrats together to improve emergency services in LaGrange by helping the fire department purchase a new Aerial ladder truck. According to local leaders, the LaGrange Fire Department’s truck has been in service for 28 years and is in need of replacement.
Sens. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock are delivering $1,150,000 for the project through bipartisan government funding legislation that became law on February 3.
“Senator Reverand Warnock and I will never stop championing Georgia’s heroic fire departments,” Sen. Ossoff said. “These resources, which we secured with bipartisan support, will help firefighters in LaGrange respond to emergencies and keep the community safe.”
“I am proud to have worked alongside Senator Ossoff to support LaGrange firefighters and emergency services with the resources they need to keep our Georgia communities safe,” said Senator Warnock.
“The City of LaGrange would like to thank Senator Ossoff, Senator Warnock, and their staff for their continued dedication to making Troup County and all of Georgia a better place to live and work. With funding provided through THUD FY26, the City of LaGrange Fire Department will purchase a new Aerial Ladder Truck, which will help the department retain its ISO classification and keep insurance rates lower for businesses and residents. Most importantly, this purchase will help save lives during rescue emergencies, and it would not be possible without the support of Senator Ossoff, Senator Warnock, and their teams,” said LaGrange Mayor Jim Arrington.
