Sens. Ossoff, Rev. Warnock Secure $1.2 Million for Brunswick Golden Isles Airport

Washington, D.C. –– Today, U.S. Senators Jon Ossoff and Reverend Raphael Warnock announced more than $1.2 million dollars for the Brunswick Golden Isles Airport.

The funding, which comes from the American Rescue Plan passed in March, will provide economic relief funds to help cover airport operations, maintain personnel, and prevent the spread of COVID-19. 

Sens. Ossoff and Warnock cast the decisive votes the pass the American Rescue Plan in March, securing vital economic relief for communities across Georgia.

“Senator Reverend Warnock and I continue fighting for coastal Georgia, and these resources for Brunswick’s airport will support jobs and economic development in the region,” said Sen. Ossoff

“Brunswick Golden Isles Airport is a vital component of Georgia’s aviation infrastructure that supports connectivity statewide and strengthens economic opportunities for our coastal community,” said Sen. Reverend Warnock. “As Georgia’s Senators, we will continue working to deliver long-needed infrastructure improvements to our state to keep our communities and economy moving forward.”
