Sen. Ossoff Meets with Taiwan Ambassador Bi-khim Hsiao 

Washington, D.C. — This week, U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff met with Bi-khim Hsiao, Representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office. 

Sen. Ossoff and Ambassador Hsiao discussed regional and global security and economic issues, includingRussia’s brutal military aggression in Ukraine, security in the Indo-Pacific region, U.S.-Taiwan trade, semiconductor production vital to Georgia industries, and supply chain resilience. 

The State of Georgia is home to several Taiwanese employers, including in automobile manufacturing, and Georgia leads the U.S. in poultry exports to Taiwan. 

Georgia’s Port of Savannah also provides regular shipping services to the Port of Kaohsiung.
