Sen. Ossoff Delivering Resources to Strengthen Public Safety in South Fulton

South Fulton, Ga. — U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is delivering resources to strengthen public safety in South Fulton.

Sen. Ossoff brought Republicans and Democrats together to help the South Fulton Police Department strengthen public safety and keep families safe on the roads.

The Federal resources will allow the Department to establish a new high-visibility law enforcement team to conduct traffic enforcement, provide data analysis regarding accident locations, and strengthen public safety efforts.

Sen. Ossoff is delivering $405,000 for the project through bipartisan government funding legislation that became law on January 23.

“Bringing Republicans and Democrats together, I’m delivering resources to help strengthen public safety in South Fulton,” Sen. Ossoff said.

“This $405,000 federal investment reflects strong confidence in the City of South Fulton’s vision, leadership, and forward momentum,” said South Fulton Mayor Carmalitha Gumbs. “This grant will enable us to enhance our Safer Roads Initiative Vehicles project. A project that will strengthen pedestrian and motorist safety, with new patrol vehicles and traffic-calming equipment, modernize critical infrastructure, and make targeted investments that better protect our neighborhoods, all while attracting new, smart, and sustainable growth across our city.”

“These funds allow us to move priority projects from planning to definitive action. They support safer streets, more durable infrastructure, and responsible use of public dollars—delivering real, measurable benefits for our residents,”said South Fulton City Manager Sharon D. Subadan.
