Sen. Ossoff Delivering Resources to Strengthen Public Safety in Conyers

Conyers, Ga. — U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is strengthening public safety in Conyers.

Sen. Ossoff brought Republicans and Democrats together to deliver new portable radios and a Mobile Command Vehicle to the Conyers Police Department to better protect its residents and strengthen emergency response efforts.

Sen. Ossoff is delivering $1,031,000 for the project through bipartisan government funding legislation that became law on January 23.

“It is absolutely imperative that Georgia communities have the resources to keep families safe,” Sen. Ossoff said. “That’s why I’m working with Republicans and Democrats to deliver funding to the City of Conyers for key safety upgrades.”

“We are deeply grateful for this federal investment in the City of Conyers and our police department. This funding will significantly strengthen our technological capabilities and enhance our strategic preparedness, ensuring our officers have the tools they need to protect and serve our community at the highest level. We appreciate the continued support and partnership that made this possible, and we look forward to putting these resources to work for the people of Conyers,” said City of Conyers Police Department Chief R. Scott Freeman.
