Sen. Ossoff Delivering Resources for Rev. Pearly Brown Music Park Americus

Americus, Ga. — U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is delivering new resources for the continued development of Rev. Pearly Brown Music Park in Americus.

Sen. Ossoff is delivering additional funding for the One Sumter Economic Development Foundation, which is leading efforts to turn the once-vacant property into a multi-use, centrally located park, amphitheater, and indoor event space adjacent to the central business district in Americus.

Sen. Ossoff brought Republicans and Democrats together to deliver $400,000 for the project through this year’s bipartisan government funding package.

Last year, Sen. Ossoff delivered $1.26 million for the project through the FY23 bipartisan government funding package.

“I’m excited about this new event and performance space for families in Americus. That’s why for the second time, I brought Republicans and Democrats together to invest in the Rev. Pearly Brown Music Park,” Sen. Ossoff said. “I thank the leadership of One Sumter and Habitat for Humanity for bringing this proposal to my office and for their leadership.”

“The Reverend Pearly Brown Music Park is an exciting project which will transform our community with a safe park and state of the art outdoor amphitheater directly impacting our region. We are truly grateful to Senator Ossoff’s leadership and commitment to families and communities,” said Alex Saratsiotis, Board Chair, One Sumter Economic Development Foundation.

“It is a great day for the Citizens of Sumter County!  We truly appreciate the work of Senator Ossoff in making this project a reality in the Southwest Georgia region,” said Lewis Webb, Board Vice Chair, One Sumter Economic Development Foundation.
