Sens. Rev. Warnock, Ossoff Delivering Resources to Support Law Enforcement in Murray County

Chatsworth, Ga. — U.S. Senators Reverend Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff are delivering resources to support law enforcement in Murray County.

Sens. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock brought Republicans and Democrats together to help the Murray County Sheriff’s Office purchase new vehicles and equipment.

These new vehicles will help the Murray County Sherriff’s Office better respond to high priority calls and help law enforcement do their job safely and effectively.

Sens. Ossoff and Reverend Warnock are delivering $317,500 for the project through bipartisan government funding legislation that became law on January 23.

“Georgia communities deserve and demand public safety,” Sen. Ossoff said. “That’s why Senator Reverend Warnock and I brought Republicans and Democrats together to deliver these resources to support law enforcement efforts that help keep Murray County families safe.”

“Making sure our Georgia police departments have everything they need to keep our communities safe is of paramount importance,” said Senator Warnock. “I am proud to work with Senator Ossoff to bring over $300,000 in federal funds to Murray County.”

“We are thankful and blessed to have been awarded this funding,” said Murray County Sheriff Jimmy Davenport. “We will be purchasing three K-9 equipped vehicles and upgrading technology without putting a strain on our local budget.”
