Sen. Ossoff Delivering Resources to Expand Outdoor Recreation for Gwinnett County Families

Lawrenceville, Ga. — U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is delivering new resources to create a new outdoor trail for families in Gwinnett County.

Today Sen. Ossoff announced he is delivering Federal resources toward the development of the Satellite Boulevard Segment of the Gwinnett Loop Trail, which will provide a critical connection to the Sugarloaf community, a business and entertainment district in the heart of Gwinnett County.

Sen. Ossoff brought Republicans and Democrats together to deliver $1,000,000 for the project through this year’s bipartisan government funding package, working alongside Congresswoman Lucy McBath (GA-07).

“Gwinnett County families deserve access to world-class recreation. Working alongside Congresswoman McBath, we brought Republicans and Democrats together to help create new outdoor trails around Satellite Boulevard and expand access to the outdoors,” Sen. Ossoff said. “I thank Gwinnett County Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson for bringing this proposal to my office and for her leadership in the community.”

“The Loop Trail has the unique ability to transform and enhance connectivity and the quality of life of our residents and visitors to the county,” said Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson. “Completing this section will allow all pedestrians to have a safe and functional space for recreational activities.”
