For the 9th time in three weeks, Senate Republicans block TSA funding
Washington, D.C. — Senate Republicans today blocked TSA funding for the ninth time in three weeks.
This afternoon, Senate Republicans blocked a motion from Senate Democrats to pay TSA agents.
“Republicans have now blocked TSA funding nine times in three weeks. Donald Trump’s obstruction is denying TSA workers pay and creating havoc at airports. Republicans must stop blocking TSA funding immediately,” Sen. Ossoff said.
This is now the 9th time in 3 weeks that Republicans have blocked funding for TSA:
- Thursday, March 5: Senate Republicans blocked a bill offered by Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) to fund FEMA, TSA, the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Secret Service, CISA, and other important DHS components.
- Wednesday, March 11: Senate Republicans blocked a bill offered by Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) to fund FEMA, TSA, the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Secret Service, CISA, and other important DHS components.
