Sen. Ossoff Upgrading Sewer Infrastructure in Waynesboro

Waynesboro, Ga. — U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is delivering resources to upgrade infrastructure in Waynesboro.

Sen. Ossoff brought Republicans and Democrats together to improve sewer infrastructure in Waynesboro. These Federal resources will help the City replace sewer mains and piping to ensure reliable service for residents of Waynesboro.

Sen. Ossoff is delivering $1,000,000 for the project through bipartisan government funding legislation that became law on January 23.

“Every town in Georgia deserves safe, effective water infrastructure,” Sen. Ossoff said. “That’s why I brought Republicans and Democrats together to upgrade water infrastructure in Waynesboro.”

“The City of Waynesboro is honored to receive this $1,000,000 federal appropriation to advance our sanitary sewer improvement initiative. This investment demonstrates a strong commitment to public health, critical infrastructure, and the long‑term resilience of our community. We are grateful to our federal partners for their advocacy and stewardship. This funding marks an important milestone for Waynesboro and will support the sustained well‑being and future readiness of our city,” said Waynesboro Mayor James Jones.
