The tax cut, delivered by Sens. Ossoff and Warnock, will help Georgia families recover from the pandemic

Washington, D.C. –– Today, the families of over one million Georgia children will begin to see tax cut refunds hit their bank accounts and arrive in the mail thanks to historic tax relief secured by U.S. Senators Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock.
Starting today, families will begin receiving $300 in monthly tax refunds per child under the age of 6, and $250 per child ages 6 to 17 through the end of the year.
The American Rescue Plan, passed in March thanks to Sens. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock, ensured families will receive a tax refund worth $3,600 per child under 6 and $3,000 per child from 6 to 17.
All Georgia families will get the full credit if they make up to $150,000 for a couple or $112,500 for a family with a single parent.
“Senator Reverend Warnock and I worked together to pass this tax relief for Georgia families, and we’re proud that we’ve delivered,” said Sen. Ossoff. “Georgians with questions about how to access this tax cut should contact my office. I am here to serve.”

The vast majority of Georgians will automatically receive their monthly Child Tax Credit refunds in the form of direct deposit, a paper check, or a credit card.
Georgians who did not have to file 2019 or 2020 taxes, or who did not previously claim stimulus check payments, can sign-up to receive the tax cut, aquí. The form is available in multiple languages.
