NEW STUDY: Sen. Ossoff Named Most Bipartisan Member of Congress

Since taking office, Sen. Ossoff has passed over a dozen standalone bipartisan bills into law

Washington, D.C. — A new study has named U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff as the most bipartisan member of Congress.

According to a study by the Polarization Research Lab, Sen. Ossoff has been the most bipartisan member of Congress since the study began in August 2022.

The study, which looked at which lawmakers spend their time dividing the country and who focuses on policy debate and constructive disagreement, found that Sen. Ossoff spent the most time seeking “collaboration, cooperativeness, or willingness to find common ground between opposing political parties.”

In his first two years in office, Sen. Ossoff passed into law more standalone bills than any other freshman Senator and since taking office has passed over a dozen bipartisan bills into law.

Since taking office, Sen. Ossoff has passed into law bipartisan legislation to:

  1. Strengthen public safety and increase funding for law enforcement
  1. Increase funding to help combat the opioid epidemic in rural communities
  1. Crack down on fentanyl trafficking across the Southern Border
  1. Expand access to counseling and mental health services for military families
  1. Protect children from online sexual abuse and exploitation
  1. Help military families afford housing
  1. Strengthen mental health care services for veterans
  1. Investigate unsolved lynchings and Civil Rights murders
  1. Strengthen security and overhaul oversight of Federal prisons
  1. Boost cybersecurity job training programs at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs)
  1. Strengthen transportation planning in both low-income and low-density areas to boost economic opportunity and quality of life
  1. Strengthen security in Federal prisons & upgrade camera systems
  1.  Cut government spending by eliminating unnecessary Federal agency reports
  1.  Expand critical resources for Georgians living with disabilities
