Carrollton, Ga. — U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is upgrading public safety in Carrollton.
Sen. Ossoff brought Republicans and Democrats together to help the Carrollton Police Department upgrade its investigative technology to better protect its residents.
These new Federal resources will allow the City to purchase a crime scene laser scanner that will better document crime scenes and train law enforcement on the scanner’s use.
Sen. Ossoff is delivering $76,000 for the project through bipartisan government funding legislation that became law on January 23.
“Bringing Republicans and Democrats together, I’m delivering these public safety upgrades for the City of Carrollton. I remain committed to strengthening public safety for every community in Georgia,” Sen. Ossoff said.
“The City of Carrollton is grateful to have the opportunity to enhance and upgrade our Crime Scene/Evidence Investigative Division through bipartisan government funding. The funding allowance provides for enhanced accuracy and preservation of data, greatly benefiting the West Georgia region through existing public safety agency relationships,” said the City of Carrollton.
