Sens. Ossoff, Rev. Warnock Delivering Resources to Strengthen Public Safety in Sumter County

Americus, Ga. — U.S. Senators Jon Ossoff and Reverend Raphael Warnock are delivering new patrol vehicles for the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

Sens. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock brought Republicans and Democrats together to deliver new patrol vehicles for the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

The Federal funding will help the Sheriff’s Office replace vehicles that have high mileage and require costly repairs to help strengthen public safety for families across Sumter County.

Sens. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock are delivering $503,000 for the project through bipartisan government funding legislation that became law on January 23.

“Georgia families deserve to feel safe in their communities,” Sen. Ossoff said. “That’s why I was pleased to work alongside Senator Reverend Warnock to help deliver new patrol vehicles to the Sumter County Sheriff’s office to better help them protect and serve the community.”

“Families should feel safe in their own neighborhood,” said Senator Warnock. “That is why I am proud to have worked alongside Senator Ossoff to secure these crucial federal funds for Sumter County.”
