Albany, Ga. — U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is upgrading health care facilities for Albany families.
Sen. Ossoff brought Republicans and Democrats together to help Albany Area Primary Health Care (AAPHC) expand and renovate its East Albany Medical Center.
According to AAPHC, the clinic is a critical access point for healthcare in the East Albany community and currently serves more than 2,000 patients each month. The project will modernize the existing facility, improve patient flow, and expand clinical capacity to meet the growing healthcare needs of residents in one of the region’s most medically underserved areas.
The renovation will include upgraded clinical space, enhanced patient accessibility features, and expansion of on-site pharmacy services, allowing patients to more easily obtain affordable medications. These improvements will reduce barriers to care, support better chronic disease management, and strengthen coordination between providers and pharmacy service.
Sen. Ossoff is delivering $1,806,000 for the project through bipartisan government funding legislation that became law on February 3.
“There’s no worse nightmare for any family than having a loved one who’s sick, but who cannot get the health care they need,” Sen. Ossoff said. “That’s why I brought Republicans and Democrats together to upgrade health care facilities for families in Albany and Southwest Georgia.”
