The Port of Savannah, which hosts the largest single-terminal facility in the world,&nbsp;is the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.savannahnow.com\/story\/news\/2021\/03\/29\/georgia-ports-authority-approves-savannah-port-expansion-garden-city-terminal\/7012935002\/\">fastest growing<\/a>&nbsp;container port in the nation. The Port of Brunswick is the nation\u2019s second busiest port for import and export Roll-on\/Roll-off cargo, such as vehicles and trucks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the ports continue to grow, Sen. Ossoff is calling on Congress to include funding in the upcoming budget reconciliation bill to boost Customs and Border Protection (CBP) capabilities at ports in Georgia and across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cGeorgia is a world logistics hub, and Georgia\u2019s ports are vital to our state\u2019s economy. That\u2019s why I am working to ensure the Department of Homeland Security is equipped to protect the Port of Savannah and all Georgia port facilities,\u201d<strong>Sen. Ossoff said.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen. Ossoff, a fierce advocate for the Port of Savannah and Georgia\u2019s regional economy, has worked with both public and private sector officials to secure funding for the port throughout his time in the U.S. Senate.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen.
