Warnock Secure Over $175 Million in Additional Funding for Georgia HBCUs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>Ossoff &amp; Warnock previously secured nearly $85 million for Georgia\u2019s HBCUs from the American Rescue Plan<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>Georgia\u2019s senators personally led push in Senate for Historically Black Colleges and Universities, ensured funding is grants instead of loans<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Washington, D.C.&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2013\u2013&nbsp;Today, Georgia U.S. Senators Jon Ossoff and Reverend Raphael Warnock announced more than $175 million in new funding they secured for Georgia\u2019s Historically Black Colleges and Universities through the&nbsp;American Rescue Plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today\u2019s announcement comes in addition to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ossoff.senate.gov\/es\/press-releases\/sens-ossoff-and-rev-warnock-secure-84-million-for-georgia-hbcus\/\">nearly $85 million<\/a>&nbsp;Sens. Ossoff and Warnock secured for Georgia HBCUs in May.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sens. Ossoff and Warnock are champions for Georgia\u2019s&nbsp;HBCUs and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ossoff.senate.gov\/es\/press-releases\/senators-ossoff-reverend-warnock-coons-lead-colleagues-in-push-to-secure-additional-emergency-relief-for-hbcus\/\">led the push<\/a>&nbsp;in the U.S. Senate to ensure&nbsp;HBCUs had equitable access to federal COVID-19 relief funds in the form of direct grants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI will never stop working on behalf of Georgia\u2019s HBCUs. Sen. Rev. Warnock and I are pleased to deliver this additional funding for&nbsp;HBCUs as they prepare for this upcoming school year and continue to help students recover from the COVID-19 pandemic,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>said Sen.
