Ossoff Pushing to Boost C-130J Military Aircraft Manufacturing in Georgia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>C-130J aircraft are built in Marietta, Georgia<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Washington, D.C.&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2014 U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is working to secure additional funding for new C-130J military aircraft in this year\u2019s&nbsp;<em>National Defense Authorization Act,&nbsp;<\/em>which are produced in Marietta, Georgia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.durbin.senate.gov\/imo\/media\/doc\/FY22%20DOD%20C-130J%20Support%20Letter%20FINAL.pdf\">letter<\/a>&nbsp;earlier this year, Sen. Ossoff and a bipartisan group of Senators led the push to boost C-130J production, noting their critical role in protecting national defense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sens. Ossoff and Warnock also&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ossoff.senate.gov\/es\/press-releases\/senators-reverend-warnock-ossoff-applaud-air-force-decision-honoring-commitment-to-modernize-critical-savannah-based-military-air-fleet\/\">announced<\/a>&nbsp;earlier this year that Savannah Air Guard Base is on track to be one of the new homes for the strategic C-130J planes, which has been a priority for the Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard, as well as Georgia\u2019s Air National Guard and the Coastal Georgia defense community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe procurement of additional C-130J aircraft is vital to our defense and national security,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>Sen.
