Ossoff\u2019s $300 Million Provisions to Remove Lead Drinking Water Pipes from Schools, Buildings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>Funding will help public schools\u00a0repair\u00a0leaded pipes<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Washington, D.C.<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Today, the&nbsp;U.S. Senate voted overwhelmingly to pass the&nbsp;\u201cDrinking Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Act,\u201d including U.S. Senator Jon&nbsp;Ossoff\u2019s&nbsp;provisions&nbsp;providing funding for remediation of lead pipes at public schools in Georgia and nationwide to ensure every child has clean, healthy drinking water.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to Sen.&nbsp;Ossoff\u2019s&nbsp;leadership, the bill includes $200 million to repair lead pipes in schools, and $100 million for general remediation of lead pipes in&nbsp;communities across&nbsp;Georgia and&nbsp;the country.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI have ensured this water bill provides funding for the removal of lead pipes in our public schools. This is a huge win for Georgia.
