Moultrie, Ga. <\/strong>\u2014 U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is delivering new resources to strengthen economic development in Moultrie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sen. Ossoff is delivering nearly $3 million in Federal funding through the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) to the City of Moultrie for infrastructure upgrades to Citizens Business Park, including improvements to roads, drainage, sewer, water, gas line, electric, and a stormwater retention pond. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Federal funding, which comes through a bipartisan funding package that Sen. Ossoff helped pass<\/a> in December 2024, will strengthen local economic development with a goal of attracting more jobs to the area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBringing Republicans and Democrats together, I\u2019m delivering these resources to upgrade infrastructure in Moultrie to keep families safe, support business and commerce, and keep our state moving,\u201d Sen. Ossoff said. <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sen. Ossoff continues working to upgrade infrastructure throughout the State of Georgia.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last month, Sen. Ossoff delivered<\/a> over $37 million through the bipartisan infrastructure law to remove lead pipes and conduct essential drinking water infrastructure upgrades across Georgia through the Lead Service Line Replacement Program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In May, Sens. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock and Reps. Williams and McBath brought Republicans and Democrats in Congress together to deliver<\/a> $1,092,000 in Federal funding for key stormwater infrastructure upgrades along Norman Berry Drive in East Point, including a storm <\/s>water main replacement and headwall restoration to improve stormwater flows and prevent sink holes in the area.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In April, Sen. Ossoff brought Republicans and Democrats in Congress together to deliver<\/a> $954,000 in Federal funding to help the City of Hampton implement critical stormwater infrastructure improvements and reduce flooding along Woolsey Road. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also in April, Sens. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock and Rep. McBath brought Republicans and Democrats together to deliver<\/a> $1,092,000 in Federal funding to help improve South Fulton’s stormwater infrastructure, including the replacement of old stormwater pipes and measures to mitigate the effect of flooding near homes.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
