Raphael Warnock are&nbsp;strengthening&nbsp;health care&nbsp;across metro Atlanta and North Georgia.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sens. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock brought Republicans and Democrats together to deliver&nbsp;health care&nbsp;upgrades for metro Atlanta and North Georgia communities, including&nbsp;hospital technology upgrades in Ringgold, health care education opportunities in Dahlonega, NICU upgrades in Atlanta, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sens. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock&nbsp;are delivering&nbsp;funding for the projects through bipartisan government funding legislation that became law on February 3.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s no worse nightmare for any family than having a loved one who\u2019s sick, but who cannot get the&nbsp;health care&nbsp;they need,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>Sen. Ossoff said.<\/strong>&nbsp;\u201cThat\u2019s why Senator Reverend Warnock and I brought Republicans and Democrats together to strengthen&nbsp;health care&nbsp;services for Georgia families.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve long fought to strengthen&nbsp;health care&nbsp;in Georgia, and I am proud to have worked alongside Senator Ossoff to secure federal funding for these vital projects across metro Atlanta,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>said Senator Warnock.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please find a summary of projects for which&nbsp;Sens. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock are delivering funding below:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>RINGGOLD:\u00a0CommonSpirit\u00a0&#8211; Memorial Hospital ($964,000)<\/strong>:\u00a0CommonSpirit\u00a0&#8211; Memorial Hospital will use the Federal funding to upgrade technology in their hospital in Ringgold, including smart technology that will enable real-time\u00a0telehealth\u00a0consultations with patients and support tracking of patient needs for higher levels of care.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>DAHLONEGA<\/strong><strong>: University of North Georgia ($700,000):<\/strong>\u00a0The University of North Georgia will use the Federal funding to expand clinical training capacity through new patient simulators and clinical education supplies at its\u00a0Dahlonega\u00a0and Blue Ridge campuses. This investment strengthens UNG\u2019s role in preparing practice-ready healthcare professionals and helps address critical workforce needs across North Georgia.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>ATLANTA:\u00a0Emory University\u00a0($476,000)<\/strong>:\u00a0Emory University\u00a0will use the Federal funding to\u00a0purchase\u00a0equipment for the NICU at Emory Decatur Hospital, including\u00a0advanced temperature management systems to\u00a0help prevent brain injury for babies who suffer traumatic births,\u00a0two full-feature incubators and radiant warmers.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>COBB COUNTY: Cobb &amp; Douglas Public Health ($3,000,000)<\/strong>: Cobb &amp; Douglas Public Health will use the Federal funding to build a new integrated S. Cobb Public Health Campus to offer affordable services and provide public health, primary care, behavioral health, and community support services.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>ATHENS:\u00a0Athens Area Diaper Bank, Inc.\u00a0($200,000)<\/strong>:\u00a0Athens Area Diaper Bank, Inc.\u00a0will use the Federal funding to\u00a0provide\u00a0free diapers for kids and families\u00a0in the Athens area.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCommonSpirit&nbsp;&#8211; Memorial Hospital is sincerely appreciative of&nbsp;Sens. Warnock and Ossoff\u2019s unwavering support for our North Georgia hospital in Ringgold, including their leadership in securing $964,000 for the project through the Fiscal Year 2026 federal appropriations bill,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>said Janelle Reilly,&nbsp;market president,&nbsp;CommonSpirit, Tennessee and Georgia.<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;\u201cSince welcoming our first patients in January 2026, our new 64-bed,&nbsp;state-of-the-art&nbsp;hospital has expanded access to high-quality, innovative care for families across&nbsp;Catoosa&nbsp;County and the surrounding communities of Walker and&nbsp;Dade&nbsp;Counties.
