Atlanta, Ga. <\/strong>\u2014 U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is delivering resources to Clark Atlanta University to strengthen prostate cancer research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sen. Ossoff brought Republicans and Democrats together to deliver Federal funding to strengthen Clark Atlanta University (CAU)\u2019s prostate cancer research. Clark Atlanta University plans to use the Federal funding to strengthen their research and education programs that focus on the early detection and treatment of prostate cancer for Black Georgians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Studies<\/a> have found 1 in 6 Black men will develop prostate cancer in their lifetime, compared with 1 in 8 men overall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sen. Ossoff is delivering $850,000 for the project through bipartisan government funding legislation that became law on February 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cClark Atlanta\u2019s cutting-edge research helps save lives and develop new treatments for prostate cancer, which studies have found has a disproportionate impact on Black men,\u201d Sen.
