Washington, D.C. <\/strong>\u2014 Yesterday, Senate Republicans blocked legislation to extend ACA tax credits just weeks before they expire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the ACA enhanced premium tax credits expire at the end of the year, according to KFF, 1.4 million Georgians<\/a>could see their premiums double and 460,000 Georgians could lose health insurance altogether because they cannot afford the price increases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For months, U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff has been fighting to extend the ACA credits, including offering an amendment<\/a> to the Trump budget bill to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits back in June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week, Sen. Ossoff spoke from the U.S. Senate<\/a> to share Georgians\u2019 stories and to urge Senate Republicans to put politics aside and extend the ACA enhanced premium tax credits before open enrollment ends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
