Ossoff brought Republicans and Democrats together to&nbsp;support&nbsp;organizations across Georgia that&nbsp;help&nbsp;veterans&nbsp;find jobs&nbsp;once they leave the Armed Forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI have secured the bipartisan support in the Senate to help&nbsp;veterans&nbsp;across the State of Georgia find employment in the civilian workforce,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>Sen. Ossoff said.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen. Ossoff is delivering funding for the projects through bipartisan government funding legislation that became law on February 3.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Please find a summary of projects for which Sen. Ossoff is delivering funding below:<\/u><\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>WARNER ROBINS:&nbsp;Central Georgia Technical College&nbsp;and the Georgia VECTR Center&nbsp;($300,000)<\/strong>:&nbsp;Central Georgia Technical College, in partnership with&nbsp;the Georgia&nbsp;Veterans&nbsp;Education Career Transition Resource (VECTR) Center,&nbsp;will use the Federal funding to&nbsp;enhance access to workforce training and postsecondary education for&nbsp;veterans, active-duty service members, and their families. The project will fund workforce development training, including direct training, career coaching, resume and interview preparation, and student supplies such as books, certifications, and&nbsp;more.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>SANDY SPRINGS:&nbsp;ATLVets, Inc&nbsp;($223,000)<\/strong>:&nbsp;ATLVets&nbsp;will use the Federal funding to&nbsp;provide training and support for&nbsp;veterans&nbsp;transitioning from service to&nbsp;running businesses.&nbsp;These resources will help&nbsp;expand training sessions and workshops for this program, covering&nbsp;topics such as business planning,&nbsp;financial management,&nbsp;and&nbsp;marketing strategies.&nbsp;The&nbsp;program&nbsp;also&nbsp;provides&nbsp;mentorship opportunities, pairing&nbsp;veterans&nbsp;with experienced professionals who offer guidance and support&nbsp;to help&nbsp;veterans&nbsp;navigate their transition to entrepreneurship.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>JONESBORO:&nbsp;Library Foundation of Clayton County, Inc.&nbsp;($300,000)<\/strong>:&nbsp;The Library Foundation of Clayton County&nbsp;will use the Federal funding to&nbsp;provide&nbsp;training sessions to help&nbsp;veterans&nbsp;start and grow small businesses&nbsp;by&nbsp;offering&nbsp;instruction,&nbsp;training, and support with a strong focus on&nbsp;veterans&nbsp;transitioning into civilian life.&nbsp;These resources&nbsp;will&nbsp;allow&nbsp;the Library Foundation&nbsp;to expand their reach to even more&nbsp;veterans&nbsp;and offer more resources and workshops.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOn behalf of&nbsp;the&nbsp;Central&nbsp;Georgia&nbsp;Technical&nbsp;College&nbsp;Foundation Board of Trustees and&nbsp;Central&nbsp;Georgia&nbsp;Technical&nbsp;College, we are honored to receive this Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) grant through Senator Ossoff\u2019s office to support&nbsp;Georgia\u2019s&nbsp;veterans&nbsp;through workforce training and job readiness programs at CGTC\u2019s VECTR Center,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>said Tonya L. McClure, Associate Vice President of Institutional Advancement.&nbsp;<\/strong>\u201cThis investment will&nbsp;provide&nbsp;life-changing opportunities through career training and employment services, helping&nbsp;veterans&nbsp;regain stability and build a secure future.
