Ossoff&nbsp;and Rev. Warnock&nbsp;brought Republicans and Democrats together to upgrade the Alcovy River Pump Station to better serve residents in the county.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to local leaders, Newton County plans to upgrade the pump station by replacing asbestos pipes, mitigating the risk of exposure to PFAS and other contaminants, and improving available water supply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sens. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock are&nbsp;delivering $1,092,000 for the project through bipartisan government funding legislation that became law on January 23.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEvery town in Georgia deserves safe, effective water infrastructure,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>said Sen.
