Ossoff brought Republicans and Democrats together to help Albany Area Primary Health Care (AAPHC) expand\u00a0and renovate\u00a0its East Albany Medical Center.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to AAPHC, the clinic is a critical access point for healthcare in the East Albany community and currently serves more than 2,000 patients each month. The project will modernize the existing facility, improve patient flow, and expand clinical capacity to meet the growing healthcare needs of residents in one of the region\u2019s most medically underserved areas.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0The renovation will include upgraded clinical space, enhanced patient accessibility features, and expansion of on-site pharmacy services, allowing patients to\u00a0more easily obtain affordable medications. These improvements will reduce barriers to care, support better chronic disease management, and strengthen coordination between providers and pharmacy service.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen. Ossoff is delivering $1,806,000 for the project through bipartisan government funding legislation that became law on February 3.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s no worse nightmare for any family than having a loved one who\u2019s sick, but who cannot get the health care they need,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>Sen. Ossoff said.<\/strong>&nbsp;\u201cThat\u2019s why I brought Republicans and Democrats together to&nbsp;upgrade&nbsp;health care&nbsp;facilities&nbsp;for families in Albany and Southwest Georgia.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEast Albany is one of the most economically challenged and medically underserved areas in our region.
