Ossoff&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ossoff.senate.gov\/es\/press-releases\/sen-ossoffs-legislation-to-help-upgrade-columbus-water-infrastructure-signed-into-law\/\">passed into law<\/a>&nbsp;his&nbsp;<em>Georgia Stormwater Management Act<\/em>, which created a new authority for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to conduct water infrastructure projects across the Columbus area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, Sen. Ossoff is delivering funding through the new authority to help upgrade the South Columbus Water Resources facility, which serves the City of Columbus and Fort Benning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen. Ossoff is delivering $3,120,000 for the project through bipartisan government funding legislation that became law on January 23.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEvery town in Georgia deserves safe, effective water infrastructure,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>Sen. Ossoff said<\/strong>. \u201cThat\u2019s why I bought Republicans and Democrats together to upgrade water infrastructure in Columbus.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jeremy Cummings, President\/CEO of Columbus Water Works, stated,<\/strong>&nbsp;\u201cWe are extremely grateful for the leadership and support from Senator Ossoff and his office to pass the&nbsp;<em>Georgia Stormwater Management Act<\/em>. This appropriations bill secures $3.12 million in project funding towards the upgrade of the Columbus Water Works South Columbus Water Resources facility.
