Ossoff brought Republicans and Democrats together to&nbsp;help&nbsp;provide&nbsp;shelter and services to victims of&nbsp;domestic violence.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen. Ossoff is delivering funding to the Women\u2019s Resource Center to End&nbsp;Domestic Violence, which provides shelter and services to survivors of&nbsp;domestic violence&nbsp;and sexual assault in DeKalb County. This new funding will be used to fund their Legal Advocacy Program, which helps survivors access legal protections such as Temporary Protective Orders to increase their safety and the safety of our communities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen. Ossoff is delivering $372,000&nbsp;for the project through bipartisan government funding legislation that became law on&nbsp;January&nbsp;23.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cResources are lacking to address the&nbsp;domestic violence&nbsp;crisis in the State of Georgia and to help victims and survivors of&nbsp;domestic violence,\u201d<strong>&nbsp;Sen. Ossoff said.&nbsp;<\/strong>\u201cThat\u2019s why I\u2019m delivering substantial new resources to strengthen programs that support&nbsp;survivors.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are deeply grateful to Senator Ossoff for championing this critical investment in survivor safety through Congressionally Directed Spending,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>said Jean Douglas, CEO of the&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>Women\u2019s<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;Resource Center to End&nbsp;Domestic Violence.<\/strong>&nbsp;\u201cThis funding will ensure that thousands of survivors of&nbsp;domestic violence&nbsp;or sexual assault are not forced to navigate the legal system alone.
