Ossoff and Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS) recently introduced the bipartisan&nbsp;<em>Support Small Business Growth Act of 2025<\/em>&nbsp;to cut income taxes for qualifying small businesses with up to 15 employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bipartisan bill would create a new tax deduction for qualifying small businesses with fewer than 15 employees based on a percentage of wages paid to employees during the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSmall businesses are the backbone of our economy,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>Sen. Ossoff said.<\/strong>&nbsp;\u201cOur bipartisan bill will cut taxes for small businesses and make it easier for them to compete, grow, and create jobs in our communities.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSmall businesses often operate on a very thin profit margin, especially those with very few employees.&nbsp; This legislation would create a special tax deduction to help these small businesses, many of them mom-and-pop operations, retain workers and keep the doors open,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>Sen. Hyde-Smith said.<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen. Ossoff continues working to support Georgia small businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In August, Sen. Ossoff&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ossoff.senate.gov\/es\/press-releases\/sens-ossoff-kennedy-introduce-bipartisan-bill-to-support-disabled-veterans-small-businesses\/\">introduced<\/a>&nbsp;the bipartisan&nbsp;<em>Service-Disabled Veteran Opportunities in Small Business Act<\/em>&nbsp;with Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) to help disabled veterans\u2019 small businesses thrive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In May, Sen. Ossoff&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ossoff.senate.gov\/es\/press-releases\/sen-ossoff-working-across-the-aisle-to-support-georgia-small-businesses\/\">cosponsored<\/a>&nbsp;the bipartisan&nbsp;<em>Simplifying Subcontracting Act<\/em>&nbsp;to simplify the process for small businesses to win Federal contracts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last year, Sen.
