Ossoff is cosponsoring the bipartisan&nbsp;<em>Rural Water System Disaster Preparedness and Assistance Act&nbsp;<\/em>to improve water infrastructure systems across rural Georgia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bill, introduced by Sens. Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) and Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS), would establish a grant program for rural communities to prepare for and respond to emergencies that could impact vulnerable water infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere is no worse nightmare for any family than not having access to clean water,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>Sen. Ossoff said.<\/strong>&nbsp;\u201cThat\u2019s why I am working with Republicans and Democrats to help rural communities in Georgia and across the Nation upgrade their water infrastructure.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen. Ossoff continues working to strengthen Georgia\u2019s water infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In January, Sen. Ossoff&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ossoff.senate.gov\/es\/press-releases\/sens-ossoff-rev-warnock-delivering-federal-funding-for-water-infrastructure-upgrades-in-atlanta-east-point\/\">delivered<\/a>&nbsp;$24.8 million in Federal resources for&nbsp;critical water infrastructure upgrades in&nbsp;the cities of&nbsp;East Point and Atlanta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last June, Sen. Ossoff&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ossoff.senate.gov\/es\/press-releases\/sen-ossoff-helping-upgrade-college-park-water-infrastructure\/\">delivered<\/a>&nbsp;Federal funding to help the City of College Park install a new water storage tank and booster system, which will ensure residents have access to reliable, clean drinking water, and accommodate economic growth in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2022, Sen.
