Ossoff\u2019s bipartisan&nbsp;<em>REPORT Act&nbsp;<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ossoff.senate.gov\/es\/breaking-sen-ossoffs-bipartisan-bill-to-protect-children-from-online-exploitation-signed-into-law\/\">became law<\/a>, which he introduced with Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen. Ossoff\u2019s bipartisan law requires websites and social media platforms \u2013 for the first time \u2013 to report crimes involving Federal trafficking and enticement of children to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), a nonprofit that works alongside families, victims, law enforcement officials, and more to protect kids from abuse and exploitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a new&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NCMEC\/status\/1920172737542103156\">analysis<\/a>&nbsp;released today by NCMEC, thanks to Sen. Ossoff\u2019s<em>&nbsp;REPORT Act<\/em>, child sex trafficking reports received by NCMEC\u2019s CyberTipline in the first 3 months of 2025 have already exceeded the total child sex trafficking reports received in all of 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, online enticement reports to NCMEC\u2019s CyberTipline rose from a monthly average of 42,230 in the last 6 months of 2024 to a monthly average of 69,636 for the first 4 months of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe&nbsp;<em>REPORT Act<\/em>, signed a year ago today, is already having a major impact on efforts to combat child sexual exploitation by requiring online companies to report child sex trafficking and online enticement to NCMEC. We are seeing dramatic increases in CyberTipline reports relating to child sex trafficking and online enticement, which means law enforcement can investigate more of these heinous crimes and recover and safeguard more children who are being exploited,\u201d<strong>&nbsp;said Michelle DeLaune, President &amp; CEO of NCMEC.<\/strong>&nbsp;\u201cWe are grateful to Senator Ossoff for his support of NCMEC\u2019s mission and the bipartisan&nbsp;<em>REPORT Act<\/em>&nbsp;sponsors for prioritizing this critical piece of legislation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen.
