Despite my opposition, this legislation passed the Senate. Georgians should be aware that they may face exorbitant fees if a checking account is inadvertently overdrawn.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In December, The CFPB&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.consumerfinance.gov\/about-us\/newsroom\/cfpb-closes-overdraft-loophole-to-save-americans-billions-in-fees\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">announced a rule<\/a>&nbsp;limiting banks\u2019 ability to charge overdraft fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last month, Sen.
