Ossoff is co-sponsoring the bipartisan<em>&nbsp;Love Lives On Act<\/em>, introduced by Senators Jerry Moran (R-KS) and Reverend Raphael Warnock (D-GA), to help spouses of deceased servicemembers retain survivor benefits upon remarriage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, a surviving spouse could lose survivor benefits if they remarry under the age of 55.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur nation has a solemn duty to honor and support the families of fallen servicemembers,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>Sen. Ossoff said.<\/strong>&nbsp;\u201cThis bipartisan bill ensures surviving spouses can rebuild their lives without losing the benefits they\u2019ve earned.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bipartisan bill would ensure the retention of benefits from both the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Department of Defense (DOD) upon remarriage at any age. The bill includes surviving spouses of servicemembers who otherwise would qualify for benefits had they not remarried.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen. Ossoff continues working to support Georgia\u2019s servicemembers and military families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last month, Sen. Ossoff&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ossoff.senate.gov\/es\/press-releases\/sen-ossoff-announces-expanded-va-health-benefits-for-georgia-veterans-through-bipartisan-pact-act\/\">announced expanded benefits<\/a>&nbsp;for thousands of Georgia veterans&nbsp;through the<em>PACT Act<\/em>, including those battling bladder cancer, ureter cancer, other genitourinary cancers, acute and chronic leukemias, and multiple myeloma thanks to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ossoff.senate.gov\/es\/press-releases\/sen-ossoff-championed-bipartisan-bill-to-strengthen-veterans-health-care-signed-into-law\/\">bipartisan&nbsp;<em>PACT Act<\/em>&nbsp;he helped pass into law in 2022.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last December, Sens.
