Ossoff Working Across the Aisle to Help Georgians Afford Job Training Programs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>Bipartisan JOBS Act would help more Georgia students access job training programs<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Washington, D.C.&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2014 U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is working across the aisle to help more Georgia students afford higher education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen. Ossoff is co-sponsoring the bipartisan&nbsp;<em>JOBS Act&nbsp;<\/em>to help more students access and afford job training programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bipartisan bill would help students across Georgia that are already enrolled in high-quality short-term skills and job training programs access Pell Grants complete their education and workforce development programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, Pell Grants can only be used for two- and four-year colleges and universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am working to bring Republicans and Democrats in Congress together to pass the bipartisan&nbsp;<em>JOBS&nbsp;Act<\/em>, which will allow young people and people who are mid-career in Georgia to apply for and receive Federal financial aid to access job training programs and prepare for their careers,\u201d<strong>&nbsp;Sen. Ossoff said.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen. Ossoff continues to be a champion for Georgia students looking to enhance their professional careers by working to ensure they have the adequate resources to do so.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2024, Sen. Ossoff&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ossoff.senate.gov\/es\/press-releases\/sen-ossoff-strengthening-automotive-workforce-development-programs-in-atlanta\/\">delivered Federal funding to strengthen workforce programs at the Automotive Training Center<\/a>, which&nbsp;serves low-income, at-risk youth, and young adults ages 15-25 in metro Atlanta and offers students on-the-job training and experience in the automotive repair industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2022, Sen. Ossoff and Rep.
