Ossoff&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ossoff.senate.gov\/es\/press-releases\/sen-ossoff-introduces-legislation-to-help-naval-submarine-base-kings-bay-prepare-for-new-columbia-class-fleet\/\">introduced<\/a>&nbsp;the&nbsp;<em>Kings Bay Trident Modernization Act&nbsp;<\/em>to authorize construction of a trident refit facility expansion at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay as the installation prepares for the arrival of the new Columbia-class submarine.&nbsp;The&nbsp;law will strengthen U.S. national security and help the base consolidate management of Naval activities that support the Trident submarine program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bill passed Congress as part of this year\u2019s&nbsp;<em>National Defense Authorization Act<\/em>&nbsp;and was signed into law yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe team protecting our nation at&nbsp;Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay&nbsp;needs continued support for their heroic efforts,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>said Sen. Ossoff.&nbsp;<\/strong>\u201cThat is why I introduced and passed this bill into law to upgrade facilities so we are investing in Kings Bay to prepare it for the equipment and missions that are coming.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen. Ossoff continues working to strengthen national security and improve military infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In January, Sen. Ossoff&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ossoff.senate.gov\/es\/press-releases\/sen-ossoff-upgrading-naval-submarine-base-kings-bay-energy-infrastructure-through-bipartisan-infrastructure-law\/\">delivered<\/a>&nbsp;new resources to strengthen energy and national security and upgrade infrastructure at NSB Kings Bay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2023, Sen.
