Ossoff launched a push to pass bipartisan legislation that would help Georgia\u2019s forestry industry implement their State Forest Action Plan (SFAP) to ensure Georgia\u2019s trees and forests remain healthy in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bipartisan&nbsp;<em>Branch Out Implementation Act<\/em>&nbsp;would extend the bipartisan infrastructure law\u2019s provision that makes $40 million available annually for states to implement their SFAPs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2020, the Georgia Forestry Commission\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/gatrees.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Georgia-Statewide-Forest-Resources-Strategy-2020-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Statewide Forest Resources Strategy<\/a>&nbsp;cited forest health as one of the most pressing challenges facing Georgia\u2019s forests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI continue working to support Georgia\u2019s forestry industry. That\u2019s why I\u2019m working with Senators from both parties to pass this bipartisan legislation that will support the long-term success of Georgia forestry,\u201d<strong>&nbsp;said Sen. Ossoff.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen. Ossoff continues working to strengthen Georgia\u2019s forestry industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last year, Sen. Ossoff began&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ossoff.senate.gov\/es\/press-releases\/sen-ossoff-working-to-expand-georgias-protected-public-lands\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">working to expand<\/a>&nbsp;the Dugdown Mountain Corridor and the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest to protect precious forests for conservation, forestry, and recreational use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen.
