Ossoff celebrated the start of production for Kia\u2019s first American-made electric vehicle in Georgia, incentivized by IRA<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Atlanta, Ga.&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2014&nbsp;Federal manufacturing policies championed by U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff have created over 30,000 Georgia jobs, according to a new study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/climatepower.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Clean-Energy-Boom-300K-Paper.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">According to the new study<\/a>, since passage of the&nbsp;<em>Inflation Reduction Act<\/em>&nbsp;less than 2 years ago, the Federal manufacturing incentives Sen. Ossoff championed are benefiting Georgia more than any other state, creating over 30,000 Georgia jobs and attracting over $23.8 billion in private investment across the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last month, Sen. Ossoff&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ossoff.senate.gov\/es\/press-releases\/u-s-federal-manufacturing-incentives-working-for-georgia-kia-begins-ev9-production-in-west-point\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">celebrated<\/a>&nbsp;the start of production for Kia\u2019s first American-made electric vehicle right here in Georgia, less than two years after passage of manufacturing policies he championed. A Kia representative confirmed in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/insideevs.com\/news\/714253\/kia-georgia-plant-running-ev9\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">recent reporting by Inside EV<\/a>&nbsp;that the company plans to ensure EV9s produced in Georgia qualify for incentives under the<em>&nbsp;Inflation Reduction Act<\/em>, which incentivizes domestic production of electric vehicles and advanced energy technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last spring, Sen. Ossoff&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ossoff.senate.gov\/es\/press-releases\/sen-ossoff-lg-energy-solutions-hyundai-to-build-4-3-billion-ev-battery-plant-in-georgia-create-3000-jobs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">announced<\/a>&nbsp;LG Energy Solutions and Hyundai will jointly build a multi-billion dollar EV battery plant in the Peach State, fueled by the same manufacturing incentives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Early last year, Qcells announced&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pv-tech.org\/how-federal-and-georgia-state-support-enabled-qcells-vertically-integrated-3-3gw-facility\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">historic $2.5 billion investment in Georgia to create 2,500 new jobs<\/a>, which Qcells said was made possible by solar manufacturing incentives Sen.
