Ossoff that reauthorizes&nbsp;grant funding for law enforcement family support services and establishes&nbsp;suicide prevention programs and mental health services for law enforcement officers passed the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bipartisan&nbsp;<em>Reauthorizing Support and Treatment for Officers in Crisis Act of 2024&nbsp;<\/em>now heads to the full Senate for a vote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBringing Republicans and Democrats together, I\u2019m working to strengthen mental health support for law enforcement officers and their families. We\u2019ve now passed this bill through Committee and hope to see it passed by the full Senate soon,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>Sen. Ossoff said.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a 2019&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/leb.fbi.gov\/articles\/featured-articles\/reducing-the-stigma-surrounding-mental-health\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">survey<\/a>, first responders experienced declining mental health but hesitated to seek professional help because of the expectations associated with their jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2022, Sens.
