Ossoff Helping Upgrade College Park Water Infrastructure"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>College Park, Ga.&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2014 U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is delivering new resources to upgrade water infrastructure in College Park.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen. Ossoff is delivering Federal funding to help the City of College Park install a new water storage tank and booster system, which will ensure residents have access to reliable, clean drinking water, and accommodate economic growth in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The area experienced a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsbtv.com\/news\/local\/atlanta\/metro-atlanta-communities-struggle-respond-ongoing-water-system-problems\/2DQGVHVCWZBGRB47L4XAWBFEWM\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">deep freeze<\/a>&nbsp;in December 2022 that resulted in numerous breaks in the East Point and Clayton County water systems, leaving residents without water, and forcing businesses to close. These new Federal resources will help upgrade the city\u2019s water infrastructure and protect families\u2019 and businesses\u2019 access to water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen. Ossoff brought Republicans and Democrats together to deliver $959,752 for the project through this year\u2019s bipartisan government funding package, working alongside Congressman David Scott (GA-13).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs the City of College Park continues to grow, there&#8217;s a need to strengthen water infrastructure for families and businesses. Working alongside Congressman David Scott, we brought Republicans and Democrats together to help upgrade water infrastructure with a new storage tank and booster station,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>Sen. Ossoff said.&nbsp;<\/strong>\u201cI thank Mayor Bianca Motley Broom for bringing this proposal to my office and for her leadership in the community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are extremely grateful for Senator Ossoff&#8217;s continued advocacy for the City of College Park and our region.
