Ossoff announced he is delivering Federal funding for Community Health Care Systems to purchase new equipment for its 18 health clinics across Central and Eastern Georgia \u2014 in Macon-Bibb, Johnson, Washington, Twiggs, Wilkinson, Laurens, Jones, Telfair, Taliaferro, Jefferson, Warren, Hancock, Glascock and Baldwin Counties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the Federal funding,&nbsp;Community Health Care Systems plans to&nbsp;purchase barrier-free bariatric lift tables and wheelchair scales to mitigate the risk of falling and injury to patients and increase access to care in its clinics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen. Ossoff brought Republicans and Democrats together to deliver $132,000 for the project through this year\u2019s bipartisan government funding package.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m relentlessly focused on strengthening rural health care in Georgia. Bringing Republicans and Democrats together, I\u2019m appropriating funds to upgrade equipment and facilities at Community Health Care Systems\u2019 clinics across Georgia,\u201d<strong>&nbsp;Sen. With 18 locations across East and Central Georgia, we will use this Federal funding to equip each of our clinics with a bariatric lift exam table and wheelchair accessible scales, reducing barriers to care for families in the region.
