Ossoff announced he is delivering Federal funding to help the McDuffie County School System build a new outdoor classroom, helping expand and teach the concepts of STEM. The County will use the funding to transform McDuffie Place into an outdoor STEM classroom at Clarks Hill Lake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen. Ossoff brought Republicans and Democrats together to deliver $105,000 for the project through this year\u2019s bipartisan government funding package.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOutdoor learning opportunities help our students grow and get excited about school! That&#8217;s why I\u2019ve appropriated funds for the McDuffie County School System to create a new outdoor learning lab,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>Sen. Ossoff said.<\/strong>&nbsp;\u201cI thank Superintendent Dr. Mychele Rhodes for bringing this proposal to my office and for her leadership in the community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe McDuffie County School System is appreciative of United States Senator Jon Ossoff for his assistance in securing grant funding to transform McDuffie Place into an outdoor STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) classroom at Clarks Hill Lake,\u201d<strong>&nbsp;said McDuffie County School Superintendent Dr. Mychele Rhodes.<\/strong>&nbsp;\u201cThrough the expansion of McDuffie Place into an educational outreach facility, teachers will be able to expand their interdisciplinary approach to instruction that aligns with our district\u2019s vision to prepare students for college, careers, and life. The focus of the STEM outdoor classroom will be to increase hands-on opportunities and problem-based learning in a real-world setting.
