Ossoff Strengthening Rural Health Care in Southwest Georgia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Warwick, Ga.&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2014 U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is&nbsp;strengthening rural health care in Southwest Georgia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today Sen. Ossoff announced he is delivering Federal resources to Crisp Regional Hospital to help construct a new health clinic facility in Warwick, Georgia. The project aims to reduce barriers to health care for rural Georgia families and ensure they can access the life-saving health care they need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the funding, Crisp Regional will relocate clinic operations from a previously abandoned bank teller building to a new clinic facility specifically designed as a health care delivery space and located on a highly traveled and easily located route.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen. Ossoff brought Republicans and Democrats together to deliver $580,000 for the project through this year\u2019s bipartisan government funding package, working alongside Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2022, Sen. Ossoff&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ossoff.senate.gov\/es\/press-releases\/sen-ossoffs-push-to-help-more-crisp-county-residents-get-to-the-doctors-office-passes-congress\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">previously delivered<\/a>&nbsp;resources to Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele to expand its rural transportation program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere is no more important question than is my family safe and healthy,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>Sen. Ossoff said.<\/strong>&nbsp;\u201cBringing Republicans and Democrats together, I\u2019m delivering funding to help establish a new modular clinic to serve families in Warwick. I thank Crisp Regional President and CEO Steve Gautney for bringing this proposal to my office and for his leadership in the community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are grateful for the support of Senators Ossoff and Warnock in making life-saving healthcare more accessible and sustainable for underserved residents in rural areas of Worth and Crisp County, GA.&nbsp; This project builds on the longstanding service of Crisp Regional\u2019s existing rural health clinic by providing a new clinic facility, repositioned in the community to improve access, functionality, and visibility for health and preventive care,\u201d<strong>&nbsp;said Crisp Regional Health Services President and CEO Steven Gautney.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs a result of this project, many rural residents will have greater opportunity to receive preventive care and ongoing care for chronic conditions,\u201d\u00a0<strong>Gautney continued.<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cThis funding will build on a legacy of service and commitment to people residing in areas in and around Warwick, GA.
