Ossoff Announces Bipartisan Infrastructure Law Funding Opportunity to Improve Georgia\u2019s Major Transportation Hubs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Washington, D.C. \u2014\u00a0<\/strong>U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff today announced Federal grant funding is available to upgrade major transportation hubs across Georgia through the bipartisan infrastructure law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.transportation.gov\/grants\/mega-grant-program\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">National Infrastructure Project Assistance (Mega) program<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.transportation.gov\/grants\/infra-grant-program\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the Nationally Significant Multimodal Freight &amp; Highway Projects program<\/a>&nbsp;(INFRA),&nbsp;both made possible by the bipartisan infrastructure law, offer funding to governments and regional transportation planning organizations for regional transportation&nbsp;projects through a competitive U.S. Department of Transportation grant process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A broad variety of projects are eligible for grant funding, including highway, bridge, freight, port, passenger rail, and public transportation projects; and to improve the safety, accessibility, efficiency, and reliability of the movement of freight and people in and across rural and urban areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur&nbsp;bipartisan&nbsp;infrastructure law&nbsp;will continue to deliver long-overdue upgrades to Georgia\u2019s infrastructure&nbsp;for years to come,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>Sen. Ossoff said.<\/strong>&nbsp;\u201cI encourage Georgia communities to contact me and my office with any questions about this grant opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In December, Sens. Ossoff and Rev.
