Washington, D.C<\/strong>. \u2014 U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is delivering new resources to expand pre-school and childcare programs for Georgia families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sen. Ossoff today announced this year\u2019s bipartisan government funding bill, which passed Congress and has now been signed into law, includes a $1 billion increase in funding to boost access to quality childcare and Head Start programs in Georgia and nationwide, roughly a 30 percent increase in funding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Head Start programs support children\u2019s growth from birth to age 5 through services that support early learning and development, health, and family well-being. Head Start staff actively engage parents, recognizing family participation throughout the program as key to strong child outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEvery child in Georgia deserves a safe, healthy, and happy preschool education. Bringing Republicans and Democrats together, we\u2019re delivering a historic increase in funding for Head Start programs in Georgia and nationwide,\u201d Sen. Ossoff said.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sen. Ossoff continues working to expand preschool and educational opportunities for Georgia families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the last year alone, Sen. Ossoff has delivered funding through Head Start for local programs across Georgia, including in Augusta<\/a>, Albany and Southwest Georgia<\/a>, Baldwin County<\/a>, Northeast Georgia<\/a>, Hancock County<\/a>, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
