Warnock Announce Federal Investment in Pleasant Hill Neighborhood"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Macon, Ga. \u2014&nbsp;<\/strong>U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is delivering Federal funding to upgrade transportation and recreation infrastructure for families in Macon-Bibb County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, Sens. Ossoff and Reverend Warnock announced a $500,000 Federal grant though the U.S. Department of Transportation for Macon-Bibb County\u2019s Pleasant Hill Neighborhood, which is currently split by I-75.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The local project aims to develop a plan to reconnect the community and connect it with Macon-Bibb County\u2019s downtown business district, strengthening families\u2019 access to recreation, improving mobility, and increasing access to economic opportunity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Federal investment, which comes through the&nbsp;<em>Inflation Reduction Act<\/em>\u2019s Neighborhood Access and Equity (NAE) Program, will go toward continued planning of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are delivering historic resources to upgrade transportation and recreation infrastructure for Georgia families,\u201d<strong>&nbsp;Sen. Ossoff said.&nbsp;<\/strong>\u201cI thank President Biden, Vice President Harris, Secretary Buttigieg, and Assistant Secretary Coes for their support as we lead Georgia forward, and I commend Macon-Bibb County for their successful work bidding for this major award.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen. Ossoff continues delivering resources to upgrade Georgia\u2019s infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier this month,&nbsp;Sens. Ossoff and Warnock&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ossoff.senate.gov\/es\/press-releases\/sens-ossoff-rev-warnock-delivering-122-million-through-bipartisan-infrastructure-law-to-upgrade-georgias-public-transit-infrastructure\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">announced<\/a>&nbsp;the State of Georgia will receive $122,457,266 in Federal resources for transit infrastructure upgrades across the state in Fiscal Year 2024, authorized by the bipartisan infrastructure law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last December, Sens.
