Washington, D.C. \u2014 <\/strong>U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is working to ensure children in Georgia are safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sen. Ossoff is requesting answers from Yoocaa about the safety of their Baby Loungers following a recent recall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On November 2, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recalled<\/a> Yoocaa baby loungers due to failure to meet safety requirements, suffocation risk, and entrapment risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cChildren are simply precious. They\u2019re everything to us. Their safety and well-being are our highest concerns. For the safety of Georgia\u2019s children, I ask that you please provide an answer to the below questions in writing within two weeks,\u201d Sen. Ossoff wrote to Yoocaa.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sen. Ossoff requested Yoocaa answer the following questions in writing:<\/u><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. What safety analysis procedures are in place for your children\u2019s products?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    1. How will you ensure that your future infant sleeping products meet CPSC requirements?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      1. In light of your recent recall decision, what steps are you taking to reach out to consumers who have purchased these products to ensure baby safety?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        1. What steps are you taking to ensure adequate safety review of other and future products?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Sen. Ossoff continues to advocate for the safety and well-being of children across Georgia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          In November, Sen. Ossoff requested answers<\/a> from Mattel following \u201cThomas & Friends\u201d toy recalls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          In October, Sen. Ossoff requested answers<\/a> about baby bib and blanket safety following recalls due to potential choking hazards with the detachable care instruction label.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Two years ago, Sen. Ossoff pressed<\/a> the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to improve efficiency and coordination in processing product recalls in order to protect families from dangerous products in 2022. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
