Ossoff and Rev. Warnock are delivering $15 million through the U.S. Department of Transportation to help upgrade infrastructure at the Port of Brunswick \u2014 improving operations, creating economic opportunities, and strengthening Georgia\u2019s supply chains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Georgia Ports Authority (GPA), the bipartisan infrastructure law funding will help GPA renovate and upgrade the East River Terminal \u2014 a project that includes demolishing and replacing the Berth #2 Main Dock, replacing half of Berth #3, and improving other infrastructure around the Terminal. According to GPA, the project is estimated to be completed by 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThese upgrades to the Port of Brunswick will strengthen supply chains and support opportunity and prosperity in coastal Georgia and statewide. The bipartisan infrastructure law \u2014 the most significant investment in America\u2019s infrastructure since the Eisenhower Administration \u2014 continues to upgrade transportation, water, broadband, and energy infrastructure across our state,\u201d\u00a0<strong>Sen. Ossoff said.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am thrilled to see the Brunswick community continue to benefit from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law Senator Ossoff and I championed. This latest investment of more than $15 million in federal funds will provide critical infrastructure upgrades for the Port of Brunswick to ease vessel traffic and the flow of commerce at a major economic hub for our state,\u201d\u00a0<strong>said Senator Reverend Warnock.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe want to express our appreciation to Senators Ossoff and Warnock, Congressman Carter, Governor Kemp and the entire Georgia delegation for their support in achieving this Federal grant. Ossoff continues working to upgrade infrastructure and safety at Georgia\u2019s ports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2022, Sens. Ossoff and Warnock\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Port of Brunswick Navigation Channel Improvement Act&nbsp;<\/em>was&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ossoff.senate.gov\/es\/press-releases\/sen-ossoffs-legislation-to-improve-efficiency-at-port-of-brunswick-signed-into-law\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">signed into law<\/a>&nbsp;to make upgrades to the Port\u2019s navigation channel, helping increased shipping traffic safely navigate the Port.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last July, Sen. Ossoff helped&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ossoff.senate.gov\/es\/press-releases\/sen-ossoff-working-to-strengthen-border-security\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pass<\/a>&nbsp;the bipartisan&nbsp;<em>Securing America\u2019s Ports of Entry Act<\/em>&nbsp;through the U.S. Senate Homeland Security &amp; Governmental Affairs Committee, which would address personnel shortages at ports of entry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last May, Sen.
