Atlanta, Ga. \u2014 <\/strong>New resources are being delivered to Georgia\u2019s farmers thanks to U.S. Senators Jon Ossoff and Reverend Raphael Warnock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sens. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock are delivering grants to farmers throughout Georgia to help them generate new products, create and expand marketing, and boost income.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The grant funding, which comes from the U.S. Department of Agriculture\u2019s Value-Added Producer Grant program, is going to pecan, cattle, poultry, and beef producers across the state as well as vineyards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSenator Reverend Warnock and I are delivering these resources to support Georgia\u2019s farmers and will continue working every day to support Georgia\u2019s agricultural community,\u201d Sen. Ossoff said.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThese latest investments across Georgia will help our farmers and producers thrive while strengthening Georgia families\u2019 access to fresh food,\u201d said Senator Reverend Warnock.<\/strong> \u201cSenator Ossoff and I remain committed to delivering for Georgia\u2019s agriculture community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sens. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock continue leading the charge to strengthen the state\u2019s agricultural industries and level the playing field for Georgia\u2019s farmers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In September, Sens. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock surveyed<\/a> storm damage from Hurricane Idalia and met with local leaders in Valdosta, including key agricultural leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In August, Sen. Ossoff launched a bipartisan effort<\/a> to help Georgia farmers compete with imports from Mexico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this year, Sen. Ossoff met with Georgia farmers<\/a> ahead of the 2023 Farm Bill reauthorization to ensure the legislation meets the needs of Georgia farmers and growers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He and Senator Warnock also recently urged<\/a> President Biden and the Department of Agriculture to boost funding to protect Georgia\u2019s poultry industry from avian flu outbreaks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
